Hannan Lis

Originally from Haifa, Israel, Hannan is principal, COO and board member of The WW Group, Inc. (Weight Watchers’ largest franchise group); and founder and CEO of Lis Ventures LLC, a venture fund investing in emerging technologies and companies. Through Lis Ventures, he is Chairman of Firebolt Group, a Michigan based lighting display technology company; Chairman of HBR Labs, an Israel/US web collaboration and communication company; and the Chairman of Yoga Shelter LLC, a chain of yoga studios operating in Michigan and California. He is also a board member of Forgotten Harvest and JDC (Joint Distribution Committee) and Chair-Elect of Detroit Public Television (DPTV).

Hannan is a past president of the Jewish Community Centers of Metropolitan Detroit, a past national board member of the American Jewish Committee, past Midwest president and national vice president of JNF, founder of the Land of Promise Foundation, and a member of the Detroit Federation Board of Governors. He is a co-president of MOPAC, a Democratic political action committee and a member of AIPAC National Council. He served as past president of American Technion Society Detroit Chapter and is also a member of ATS National Board of Governors. He is a founder and past president of MIBB (Michigan Israel Business Bridge), an advocacy organization promoting trade between Israel and Michigan. He is the past president of the MIBB Foundation.

Hannan is married to Lisa (a Michigan Jewish communal leader). They are the proud parents of Ariella, Liat, Mataan and Aviv.
